CONTROL OF WORK
AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY ENGINEER
The County Engineer will decide all questions which may arise
as to the quality and acceptability of materials furnished and
work performed; all questions which may arise as to the interpre-
tations of plans and specifications and all questions as to
the acceptability of any phase of the work on those projects
proposed for acceptance into the Montezuma County Road System.
Upon written request of the County Engineer, the person or firm
developing the project shall furnish a certificate of compliance
to specifications in the following areas of work:
Portland Cement
Aggregate
Consistency
Concrete Strength
Earthwork Compaction
Subbase Screen Anal.
Base Course Screen Anal
Base Course Plasticity
Surface Course Screen
Analysis
Bridge, Concrete

ROAD, BRIDGE OR STREET ACCEPTANCE
A. The Board of County Commissioners may by resolution
or motion following a public hearing accept a subject
road, bridge or street into the County Aoad System
upon receipt of the following:
1. Proper evidence of right-of-way and dedicatory
statement.
2. Recommendation of the County Engineer attesting
to compliance to the road standards contained
herein.
II. RIGHT-OF-WAY
A. The right-of-way for the construction of a road, bridge
or street must be a minimum of sixty (60) feet in
width unless otherwise varied by the Board of County
Commissioners in writing.
B. All rights-of-way shall be cleared of all dead trees
and trash.
