Enclosed, is a copy of a
letter frun Eldon Strid, with ACZ, Inc., which was sent pursuant to our
request.
This letter suggests that we take several steps to alleviate the
problems with the samples. The letter also states that in the event these
steps are unsuccessful, we will probably have to replace the well. It is our
intention to begin taking the steps suggested by Mr. Strid as soon as weather
permits. We will notify the Division as to our success following our
c~letion of the ACZ recartnendations.
In reference to the 1987 Annual Hydrology Report, we inadvertently
neglected to discuss inflows at the Bear Number Three Mine during 1987.
Please be advised that in 1987 there were no seeps inside our mine that
created any infla~+s of water into the mine.
If you should require additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
BEAR COAL COMPANY, INC.
