They occur in the foothills where they have formed in limestone derived <br /> parent materials. The surface horizon, about 7 inches thick, is grayish brovrn loam <br /> containing channery limestone fragments. The su bsoil material is light broomish <br /> gray grading to very pale brown channery loam.
