Czltical Area Planting 342-3 <br />Time of seeding <br />Grasses, legumes and other seeded species shall be planted within the seeding <br />periods specified in Table 1, with the provision that up to 10 days tolerance <br />from the specified periods may be alloyed for the purpose of adapting to local <br />soil moisture conditions. Rocky Mountain penateman, hairy vetch, milkvetch <br />and Indian ricegraes should be planted is the fall so that freezing and thawing <br />can break seed dormancy foz spring germination. <br />Table 1. Purity and germination testa for all lots <br />of seed shall be less than one year old. <br />Selection of species <br />Species planted shall be selected from the tables of "Perennial Grasses and Fozbs <br />for Czltical Area Plantings" and from the table of "Woody Plante for Critical Azea <br />Plantings" attached to this specification (Tables 2 through 12). Use the attached <br />map of Major Land Resource Arses as a guide to the plant tables. The tables list <br />species that are normally available on a commercial basis.
