The Division hydrologist conducted a study to <br />determine which event would carry more precipitation <br />or be more catastrophic at this particular facility. <br />What the Division determined was that <br />the hundred-year/24-hour event is a more conservative <br />amount of precipitation. We can contain more precip <br />in a single flash event in this one location over the <br />40 acres of pad area. <br />Therefore, being the more <br />• 24 conservative, we have required Battle Mountain to use <br />25 that as the standard for the pond designs as well as <br />
