• Stoddard aad Smith (1955) reported that in eacessively steep
country "cattle should not go more than ~ mile for eater, though in
more level areas this can be increased. Eves is flat country they
should not be eapected to travel more than 2'xi miles". Beclaimed land
within the permit area will not be steep aad the distance from water
to areas of suitable forage will not eaceed the preceding
recommendations.
SOIL TESTING PLAN
Based upon premine soils information presented under Eule 2.04.9,
Colorado Yampa Coal Company is convinced that a poet disturbance
minesoil testing program is unnecessary. Physical and chemical
• analyses of soil samples collected prior to mining did not reveal
tozic or inhibitory concentrations of any elemental constituent.
Futhermore, no nutrient deficiencies were detected in the aurficial
soil materials submitted for analysis. Since fertility will not be a
problem and the mineaoil will be devoid of inimical parameters, CYCC
requests the Divison to approve this application without a post mine
soil testing plan.
(f) A description of measures to be employed to ensure that all
debris, acid-forming and toxic-forming materials constituting a fire hazard
are disposed of in accordance with 4.11.4 and 4.14.3 and a description of
•
2.05 - 97
