• The location of each facility or structure located within the <br />buffer zone of Middle Creek are identified on Map 20, Permanent <br />Sediment Control Plan. Sumps and detention basins are required for <br />drainage and sediment control and have been or will be located so as <br />to prevent additional contribution of suspended solids in discharges <br />from the proposed permit area. The access road encroaching on the <br />stream buffer zone of Middle Creek is an eaiating road located as <br />far away from the stream as practical given the operational <br />limitations that prevail at !Sine No. 3. The access road drainage, <br />culverts, and embankments are designed to prevent adverse affects on <br />water quantity and quality to the eztent possible. The access road <br />will be maintained and has drainage ditches and culverts designed <br />for protection of water quality and quantity. <br />r, <br />LJ <br />Detention Basias <br />The final protection method for surface eater quality rill be <br />the construction and maintenance of properly designed detention <br />basins with auxiliary features such as spillways, energy dissipating <br />discharge structures, stabilization practices and aideslope <br />protection. <br />• <br />2.05 - 146 <br />
