SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies chat the CDMG will be provided with map(s)
illustrating the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate
locations for stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table art lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenGature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
At the end of 2004 there were 85 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 197.6 acres and storing
approximately 4,266,442 cubic yards of salvaged topsoil.
During 2004, Trapper constructed one new stockpile (H04) and added iopsoit to three existing piles
(F97-1, G1-03 and ZTS-3). Additionally, portions of five existing piles were removed for topsoil
replacement (A77-1, A94-4, F9S2, H93-2 and LG1) and three existing piles (A86-6, FS1 and H93-1)
were totally depleted for topsoil replacement or relocation.
The proposed approximate locations for topsoil stockpiles in 2004 may exceed the actual number that
will be constructed. Proposed topsoil stockpiles and the number of piles constructed are dependent
upon the field conditions that are encountered each reclamation season. Additionally, particular piles
may be depleted from or added to in order to maintain a cost effective salvage or replacement program
during a particular year.
rv~ 3ros
rDMG~UOTefeAS-OJ
