Also reviewed were Revisions 1 and 2, dated January 2 and 30, 2001, <br />respectively, prepared for Sedalia Land Company by Golder Associates Inc. of Denver. The t~vo <br />revisions were made in response to comments and requests put forth by Tri-County Health Department <br />and CDPHE during the comprehensive technical review. The application contains a Design and <br />Operation Plan for a Construction and Demolition Debris landfill on a 160-acre tract located il..i;'2 SE/4 <br />of Section 11 and N/2 NE/4 of Section 14, T7S, R68 W of 6`h P.M., Douglas County. There is a clay <br />mining operation, the Ute Mine, permitted on the property- DMG permit M-79-221 issued to The <br />Robinson Brick and Tile Company. <br />The application for a Certificate of Designation for the site has been submitted by tine property owner, <br />Sedalia Land Company. Upon approval, the facility will be operated by Waste Corporation of America. <br />The planned facility will have hvo areas of operations, a recycling center and a landfill for disposal of <br />Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D Debris) and Inert Materials. The recycling center will be <br />built as markets for recyclable commodities are developed. Only source-separated recyclables will be <br />accepted. <br />The C&D Debris landfill will accept for disposal residential and commercial construction and <br />demolition debris and inert materials. C&D Debris typically are wood and wood products, paper and <br />wrappings, wallboard, glass, metal fixtures, plastics, yard wastes, and instdation materials. Inert <br />Materials include concrete rubble, asphalt paving fragments, gravel, sand, and dirt. The facility will not <br />accept household trash, pu[rescible waste, industrial waste, hazardous waste, or sludges. A <br />
