COLORADO YAMPA COAL COMPANY <br />CERTIFICATION INSPECTION FOR DRAINAGES <br />TE OF INSPECTION September 22, 1988 <br />INSPECTION ACTIVITIES <br />o Checked grade and channel dimensions for Drainage 51W <br />o Checked work status for Drainages 7, 31-1, 31-2, and 51 <br />FINDINGS <br />o The 225' of Drainage 51W checked for grade and channel width <br />was within design specifications. Maximum grade was 24.6% <br />compared with a design of 25% and minimum channel dimensions <br />were 13.0' and 27.5' compared with design widths of 12.0' and <br />27.0'. The upper key cut had not been completed in order to <br />facilitate access for bedding/riprap placement. <br />o Bedding and riprap placement for the final 150' section of <br />Drainage 7 was completed and Bower Bros. was pushing fill <br />material against riprap on channel margins. Overall final <br />channel configuration looked good with adequate bedding/riprap <br />thicknesses, uniform placement, good gradation, and full <br />channel configuration. Drainage 7 is considered acceptable <br />relative to conformance with design specifications. <br />o No significant additional work had been completed for <br />Drainages 31-1, 31-2, or 51. <br />CORRECTIVE MEASURES NOTED <br />o Work on channel definition for Drainages 31-1 and 31-2 <br />
