M r.diitional vegetative ty,~e occupies a relatively miner <br />portion of *_n^ study area, alone the intermittant stream bed in <br />Stevens Gulch. This ty;ie consists of cottonwood trees (Populus <br />sn?.) scattered along the bank with a number of shrubs occurring <br />on moist situ , including virginsbower Clematis liausticifolia), <br />wild rase (f;osa sop.), and hawthorn (Cratacaus spP•), <br />A few large openings occur in the pinyon-,juniper types, <br />near or on the crowns of the ridges.
