Exhibit H - Wililife Information <br /> 6.4.8 <br /> 1) In developing the wildlife information, the OperatorlApplicant may wish to contact the local <br /> wildlife conservation officer. 7he OperatorlApplicant shall include in this Exhibit, a description of <br /> the game and non-game resources on and in the vicinity of the application area, including: <br /> a) a description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land, <br /> b) seasonal use of the area; <br /> c) the presence and estimated population of threatened or endangered speciesfiom either <br /> federal or state lists; and <br /> d) a description of the general effect during and after the proposed operation o the existing <br /> wildlife of the area, including but not limited to temporary and permanent loss offood and habitat, <br /> interference with migratory routes, and the general effect on the wildlife from increased human <br /> activity, including noise. <br /> 2) The application shall be reviewed and commented upon by the State of Colorado Division <br /> of Wildlife (DOW)in a timely manner prior to the Board's consideration of the application. <br /> On 5 January 1999, a wildlife inspection of the site was performed by Mike Sherman,Dave <br /> Webber, and Charlene Haeger from the Colorado Division of Wildlife [DOW]. The comments of <br /> DOW are found in Mr. Sherman's report, following, and addresses the majority concerns of this <br /> section. <br /> Additionally, respective of threatened and endangered species,sternming from evaluations <br /> performed by Savage and Savage, Inc., the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service cleared the upland <br /> portions of Section 29 and all of Section 28 from Preble's meadow jumping mouse,Zapus <br /> hudsonius preblei, and the Ute ladies' tresses orchid Spiranthes diluvialis.
