However, <br />with proper reclamation and an after-use con- <br />sistent with the Comprehensfive Plan recommendations <br />and the zoning resolution, high compatibility will <br />be restored. <br />Operational Plan <br />Method of Operation: <br />~- ~~. <br />The basic method of extraction is lasting and rippin~j~to loosen <br />the material, followed by loading onto a~conveyor which runs the <br />aggregate through a screen. Bulldozers, front-end loaders and backhoes <br />are used to remove and load material and Ford tandem and single-axle <br />dump trucks are used to haul it away. <br />Blasting will be done at a maximum of once per week and all neigh- <br />boring commercial and residential sites will be notified in advance <br />of when blasting will occur. Charge size will not exceed 4,000 pounds <br />and delayed charo_es will be used to minimize damage due to ground <br />motion and sonic disturbance. <br />The quarry will operate from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through <br />Friday. 1•leekend operations will be carried out only in emergency <br />situations such as floods. <br />Figure 3 shows the site details for that portion of the operation to <br />be governed by this report. The County's contract with the landowner <br />' expires July 31, 1976. The operational plan described in this report <br />will be effective for one (1) year from the date of approval by the <br />Board of County Conmissioners with the long-term operational and <br />-3- <br />
