C <br />Section 776.11 (b) Continued. <br />(6) A description of the practices proposed to be followed to protect <br />the environment from adverse impacts as a result of the exploration <br />activities. <br />The name, address and telephone number of the person seeking to <br />explore is Kerr Coal Company, P.O. Box 487, Walden, Colorado 80480 <br />(303) 723-4721. <br />The name, address and telephone number of the representative who <br />will be present at and responsible for conducting the exploration <br />activities is Gary W. Myers, Chief Geologist, Kerr Coal Company, <br />P.O. Box 487, Walden, Colorado 80480, (303) 724-4721. <br />Although pursuant to In Re Permanent Surface Mining"Regulation <br />Litigation, F. Supp _, 14 ERC 1083 (1980), submittal of a map <br />• is no longer required. For convenience of the regulatory author- <br />ities, the area of exploration will be the same as the mine plan <br />area shown on Map 1, Kerr Mine Plan. This map is at a scale of <br />1"=500' or 1:6,000. <br />The period of the intended exploration is five years. <br />Pursuant to In Re Permanent Surface Mining Regulation Litigation, <br />F. Supp _, 14 ERC 1083 (1980), Kerr Coal is no longer re- <br />quired to give a description of the basis of its right to enter the <br />area to be explored. In the event this requirement is repromul- <br />gated, Kerr Coal will supply all information required. <br />A description of the practices to be followed to protect the envi- <br />ronment from possible adverse impacts as a result of the explora- <br />tion activities are set forth in Exhibit 6, Coal Exploration L1- <br /> <br />cense C-28056. <br />776-2 <br />
