V. SUMMATION
• The proposed Loma Prospect has been analyzed under a major storm
with a return period of 10 years. Runoff will be conveyed through the
culverts and into the historic tributaries. Culverts have been sized
accordingly for the flow from each watershed to prevent damage to the
Loma access road. These drainage calculations confirm that the existing
culverts are adequate to convey the flow under the access road. The
one exception Is the 36"D culvert for watersheds F and X. A 42"D C.M.P.
would control the flow better as shown in the drainage calculations. Yet
a 36"D culvert could adequately convey the flow if the slope of the cul-
vert is flat enough. This slope should be 0.6$ or less and !s shown In
a latter part of the drainage calculations. If the slope is greater than
0.5$, then a 42"D C.M.P. will be required to convey the flow generated
from watersheds F and X.
•
•
S -
