Areas of contention are highlighted on the letter. <br />As of yet we have not recieved one complaint from local residents or <br />tourists, quite the oposite the tourists seem to be overjoyed that something <br />like this mine exists. <br />Glaringly white trailer-- Could be changed to an earth tone if requested by <br />an agency. <br />In response to the objection of the pristine area of the Pike County Forest <br />(I don't know of any Pike County Forest. ) <br />I do not believe that the Wehking's aze the keeper of the keys to the 1872 <br />mining law. <br />Scenic Overlook -- I have never heard the maintenance tum around refered <br />to as an overlook, all the overlooks I have seen were on top of a mountain <br />not the bottom of the valley. <br />Multiple places-- All items need to be strategically placed on the mine <br />site to be functional and practical (Refer to the letter of February 1, 2002 <br />to Sara Mayben -District Ranger. <br />Eye sore-- As of yet I have had no complaints- Reference Federal <br />Regulations -refer to CITE: 36 CFR 228.8 (WAIS) Mining Claims and <br />Sites on Federal Lands -copy enclosed -also refer to Sara Maybens letter of <br />February 1, 2002. <br />Scenic Values-- Will comply with DMG <br />The location of facilities-- Will place on the space where they are <br />functional. <br />The disturbed areas at any given time will not increase. <br />
