....
EXHIBIT C - h1INING PLAN
1. Mining will begin March 1, 1987 and end in 1992.
2. Topsoil material will be removed to a depth of 6 to 8 inches
or deeper where found in pockets. On the west half of the
proposed site little or no topsoil will be found. However,
where found it will be removed by self-propelled scrapers and
stockpiled in an orderly berm along the west boundary. The
stockpile will be seeded to the same grass seed mixture as
described in the Reclamation Plan if the stockpile is to
remain more than one growing season.
3. There is no overburden or waste material expected on the site.
4. The deposit is expected to be about 3 feet deep on the west
and about 15 feet deep as mining proceeds into the hillside to
the east.
5. The only equipment on site will be the self-propelled scrapers,
a dozer, wheeled front-end loaders, the crusher and screen, and
necessazy conveyors. Material will be hauled from the site on
trucks.
6. The ~;ite demensions are generally 480 feet by 900 feet. The
excavation will encompass virtually all of the site. The mine
floor will be generally level and side slopes will be graded to
2:1 or flatter in the course of mining.
7. The :;ite will be accessed via an existing farm road used for
farm machinery and to service the windmill and pasture beyond the
site. No additional haul roads will be constructed.
8. No wzcter will be used on site and all mining will halt well
above ttie water table.
9. The 7.ittle surface water that might occur on-site will most
likely t>e immediately absorbed into the exposed gravel floor.
Any pos:;ible runoff will be contained on the west boundary by
the topsoil berm and/or' the shallow excavation (about aft. deep)
along the west side of the pit.
10. N.A..
11. As doted in 5 above, the material will be crushed if needed,
screened and stockpiled. The limited size of this operation
required no additional controls.
