per the reclamation plan specified for the area surrounding the pond. The reclamation cost
estimate can be recalculated at any time in the future, to remove the revegetation costs for
the pond area, once the well, pump, and inlet pipe have been installed and are functional.
9. Please be aware that DMG must be notified prior to importation and use of any toxic forming
materials within the permit area.
10. Response acceptable.
15.Response acceptable.
16.The enclosed reclamation cost estimate accounts for revegetation of an assumed maximum
4.5 acre disturbed area including tilling, fertilizer, and mulch applications.
17. Response acceptable.
18.A seeding rate of 10 pounds per 1000 square feet is extremely excessive and costly. A rate
of 10 pounds per acre of the proposed mix is suggested for broadcast seeding.
19.The proposal to line the tree planting pits with mulch prior to setting the tree, is not
recommended. This mulch layer may act as a root barrier. If mulch is desired, to enhance
available moisture, it should be spread over the area around the tree after planting is complete.
Polyacrylamide pellets may be added to the planting soil to increase the moisture holding
capacity and make it available to the trees.
20. Please see the enclosed reclamation cost estimate which was calculated using assumptions
and recommendations specified in this review and using an assumed maximum disturbance of
4.5 acres. Please review this estimate and notify DMG of any incorrect task specifications
that are identified.
21.Since the pond is to be filled by water pumped from a well, it is assumed that this is to be a
non-discharging pond. In this case a discharge ditch would not be required. Please specify if
this assumption is correct, and remove the outlet ditch from the map if appropriate.
Exhibit E -Maps
22.The permit maps still need an illustrated permit boundary, equal to 9.5 acres, and an illustrated
disturbance boundary. The current excavation area and access ramp should also be indicated.
Exhibit F -Other Permits
