Revised 1/28/80
Section 765.19(c) Continued
The photographs are at a scale of approximately 1:34,000 and were taken
in September, 1978. The three photographs Grover the mine plan and
adjacent area as follows:
Photo No. 616: Energy Mine No. 1 and Middle Creek
Photo No. 630: Energy Mine No. 2 and Fish Creek
Photo No. 632: Eckman Park Mine and Foidel Creek
•
•
The photographs show the fall season differences in vegetative growth
between upland and valley floor areas. These photos, along with a set
of black and white aerial photos giving stenographic coverage of the
same areas, were sent to the consulting firm NRC, Incorporated (NRC) for
analysis.
The interpretations made by NRC are summarized as follows:
Photo No. 616, Energy Mine No. 1 and Middle Creek, based on the mount
of riparian vegetation present, gullying in the streambed of Middle
Creek, and the reflective nature of at least one-half of the floodplain,
indicates subirrigation or flood inundation at the time the photo was
taken (September 22, 1978). About 10 percent or less of the reach of
Middle Creek shown in this photograph world qualify as an alluvial
valley floor. Only the shaded areas sham on the Twentymile Park Hy-
drology (Map 6) in the Middle Creek watershed adjacent to Energy P4ine
785-9(ff)
