r~
LJ
Revised 1/28/80
Section 785.19(c) Continued
FLOOD IRRIGATION CAPABILITY
Stream-flow has been measured in Eclanan Park by the United States Geo-
logical Survey at gaging station number 09243800 on Foidel Creek, north
of Pinnacle Peak. IISGS gaging hydmgraphs of these data are presented
in Table 13, USGS Gaging Station Measurements. Data from monitoring
performed by Energy Fuels on the ephemeral tributazies draining the mine
plan azea aze presented in Table 12, Energy Fuels Corporation Wier
Measurements. As these data indicate, water availability in the study
area is erratic from year to year and continuous flag occurs during only
• two months out of the year in response to snowmelt.
In response to concerns expressed by MLR and OSM technical staff, a
flood irrigation feasibility study has been conducted by Leonard Rice
Consulting Water Engineers titled, "Irrigation Feasibility Study"
(E7diibit 27). The puzpose of this study is to dociment the capability
of the Foidel Creek floodplain in the adjacent area to be flood-irrigated,
in a level of detail above and beyond that which is called for in the
OSM Technical Guideline of August 15, 1978. 4he procedure which is
outlined in the OSM Technical Guideline is given below.
785-9(cc)
