United Companies is submitting an Application to the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board for a Reclamation Permit for a new gravel pit (BLM Pit #1) located
in Mesa County. The proposed pit and processing facility is located east of the B Road
intersection with State Highway 141 (32 Road). Mesa County has reviewed and approved
United Companies' application for a Conditional Use Permit for this site.
One of the requirements necessary to file for a Reclamation Permit is that United
Companies place a copy of the Reclamation Permit application at the Mesa County
Recorder's office at the time that the application is filed with the Mined Land
Reclamation Board. The copy of the Reclamation Permit application placed at the
Recorder's office is for review by the public. The copy of the Reclamation Permit
application for the BLM Pit #1 that is attached to this letter is the required copy.
Also required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board is proof that a copy of the
permit application was placed at the Mesa County Recorder's office. Please sign and date
each of the two copies of this letter. United Companies will use one of these signed
letters as proof of service of this notification. The other copy is for your records.
