be included in the Division's reclamation bonding estimate until such time as the <br />backfilling is completed. <br />Wildlife Information: <br />The Division does not consider a PCA statement as adequate to meet the Requirements <br />of Rule 6.4.8 <br />1) Per Rule 6.4.8, Section (1)(a) of Wildlife Information requires the applicant to include a <br />description of the significant wildlife resources on the effected land. The permit <br />application includes only a statement that the Preliminary Conservation Planning Area <br />Summary acquired from the Colorado Natural Heritage Program indicates there may be <br />known threatened or endangered species of plants dr animals in the general area of the <br />proposed permit area, but the PCA did not indicate any known threatened and <br />endangered occurrences specifically in Section 24, Township 49, Range 10 W. Please <br />specify the significant wildlife resources on the affected land. In developing this <br />information, the applicant may wish to contact the local wildlife conservation office. <br />2) Section (1)(b) requires a statement for seasonal use of the area by wildlife. Please <br />specify if there are any such seasonal uses by wildlife or state that there is no known use <br />of the proposed mining area. <br />3) Section (1)(c), requires a statement concerning the presence and estimated population of <br />threatened or endangered species from either federal or state lists. <br />Please provide this statement. <br />4) Section (1)(d), requires the applicant to include a description of the general effect during <br />and after the proposed operation on the existing wildlife in the area, including but not <br />limited to temporary or permanent loss of food and habitat, interference with migratory <br />routes, and the general effect on the wildlife from increased human activity, including <br />noise. Please include the above requested information regarding the operation's effect <br />on wildlife at the site. <br />Vegetation Information: <br />1) Please describe present vegetation types per Rule 6.4.10 (1)(a). Cover and height <br />information are not necessary as the current use is agricultural and subject to change <br />rapidly. <br />2) Exhibit J does not include an estimate of the average annual production for hay and <br />croplands as required by Rule 6.4.10(c). Please provide the required information for <br />current production rates for all crops currently planted on site. <br />Other members of the Division of Minerals and Geology Staff are reviewing Rule 3.1.6, 3.1.7 <br />and Rule 6.4.7 for issues related to Exhibit G,. Additional information maybe necessary to meet <br />the requirements of these Rules and Regulations. This Office will forward all information to <br />other team members as it becomes available for proper review. <br />
