~~n3 <br /> <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br /> <br />Pitkin County <br />ncrGl\/F(~ <br />JAN ~ 6 1996 ~ /~ <br />11 January, 1996 p;vlslon of ~vlinerals & Geology <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Re: Wright &Preusch Mining Ltd. -Limited Impact Reclamation Permit <br />Application <br />To Whom it Concerns: <br />The Board of County Commissioners submits the following comments on the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation pernrit application for the Smuggler Mine operated <br />by Wright &Preusch Mining, Ltd. <br />S U In Exhibit F -List of Other Permits and Licenses Required, the Applicant states <br />that Pitkin County Resolution No. 94-110, which is actually recorded in Book 760 at <br />Page 909 of the records of the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder, authorizes the owners <br />of the mine to continue mine tours and engage in further limited mining without <br />additional County approval, concluding drat Wright &Preusch Mining Ltd. has already <br />obtained any and all permits required by Pitkin County. <br />Resolution No. 94-110 sets forth the following conditions and requirements with <br />regazd to the Smuggler Mine: <br />1(a) Mining activity consisting of nominal development and <br />exploration, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of existing tunnels, <br />track and timbers; employing no more than eight employees; generating <br />no more than 25 vehicle trips per day in vehicles including dump trucks, <br />flatbed trucks, pickup trucks, bulldozers, backhoes, front erid loaders and <br />other heavy equipment. <br />1(b) Mine tours averaging approximately ] 0 tourists a day, 500 people <br />per year. <br />3.
