•
north-south trending creek; as the Orchard Valley Mine is
Located south of the landslides, there cannot be any re-
lation between the surficial mine activity and the be-
havior of the slides.
We feel that for these reasons, both landslides do
not have any importance for the surficial mine acitivities
and that these mine activities cannot influence the future
behavior of the landslides.
An additional small landslide was inspected in the
vicinity of sedimentation pond No. 4 during our geotechnical
review stage. Although it was proposed to evaluate the
stability of this landslide during these Phase II studies,
it was not possible to obtain a surveyed profile of the
slide in time for this study to be included in this report.
A separate report addressing the stability of this slide will
be submitted after suitable sections for stability analyses
have been developed.
• ~, - i6 -
GE6MYD40 CONSULTING.INC.
