<br /> <br />All disturbed areas will be revegetated with native grasses as planned by the local Soil Conservation <br />District. This seed mix will consist mostly of Western Wheatgrass and Sideoats Grama. The seedbed will <br />be prepared by placing stockpiled native topsoil on the disturbed areas at a depth of 4 to 8 inches. The <br />topsoil will be disced and scarified and the seeds vrill be planted with a seed drill. Fertilization and <br />mulching will be as recommended by the S.C.D.. <br />The S.C.D. recommended seed mix is at the end of this section. <br />No trees or shrubs will be planted. <br />(2)(e) This vrill not be a phased operation. However, the Operator plans to disturb only 35 acres at any <br />time. This includes 5-10 acres being reclaimed. Preparation for revegetation will follow mining as closely <br />as possible. The 35 acres of disturbed area will include haul roads, crushing and screening area, scales, <br />areas being prepared to mine, mining areas, and areas being reclaimed. <br />(2)(}) All reclaimed slopes will have a maximum slope of 3H:7 V. The pit floor will be generally flat <br />although depressions may be constructed to collect stormwater runoff. Stockpiled overburden will be <br />used to backfill slopes or fill in low spots where needed. <br />After final reclamation there will be no highwalls or potential slide areas. All backfilling and grading will <br />follow mining as closely as operationally feasible. <br />The seedbed will be prepared by placing stockpiled native topsoil on the disturbed areas at a depth of 4 to <br />8 inches. The topsoil will be disced and scarified and the seeds will be planted with a seed drill. <br />Fertilization and mulching will be as recommended by the S.C.D.. <br />The revegetation seed mix is at the end of this section. <br />
