<br />EXHIBIT "E" <br />RECLAMATION PLAN <br />6.4.5 Reclamation Plan for the Pino Pit (please see map also) <br />(1) The original Pino Pit Special 111 Mining Permit called }or a maximum of 16.21 acres of affected area. <br />The new total area to be disturbed in this Regular 112 mining operation is 80 acres. At any time <br />approximately 35 acres will be disturbed, including 5 to 10 acres in reclamation. <br />The life of this mining operation is expected to be approximately 20 years. However, this period may <br />change depending on market demand for the sand and gravel being mined. <br />(2)(a) All affected areas of this operation will be reclaimed to rangeland similar to its pre-mining use. <br />(2)(b) Reclamation of this site to rangeland is consistent with its pre-mining use and the use of the <br />adjoining properties. The subject property as well as the adjoining properties are zoned for agriculture. <br />(2)(c) Applicable requirements of Section 3.1: <br />3.1.4 <br />The property is privately owned and not subject to public use. There are no plans to open it to public use <br />after mining and reclamation have concluded. <br />3.1.5 <br />After final reclamation there will be no highwalls or potential slide areas. All backiilling and grading will <br />follow mining as closely as operationally feasible. <br />No ponds or lakes are proposed; maximum slopes will be 3H:1 V. <br />To prevent erosion, stockpiled topsoil will be seeded with Western Wheatgrass if it is stored Tor more than <br />one year. Also, hay bales will be used where needed to prevent erosion in the mining area. A Stormwater <br />Management Plan will be developed for this operation. <br />Noxious weeds will be controlled during mining operations using accepted methods or those prescribed <br />by the S.C.D.. <br />No toxic or acid forming chemicals will be mined or handled on this site <br />No explosives will be used in this operation and there will be no shafts or adits. <br />3.1.6 <br />Groundwater is not expected to be encountered as this site is on a high bench. Also, there are no surface <br />water features such as ponds, streams, or arroyos on this site. <br />3.1.8 <br />No wildlife habitats are planned for this site. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has been contacted for <br />comments on this operation. No information has been provided yet. <br />(2)(d) Prior to mining, topsoil will be stripped from the immediate area of excavation and stockpiled for <br />use in revegetation. If the topsoil is stockpiled for more than one year it will be seeded with Western <br />Wheatgrass to control erosion. <br />
