• EXCERPTS FROM THE LAW <br />Permanent Sealing <br />When no longer needed for its intended use and upon a finding by <br />the Division of no adverse environmental or health and safety <br />effect, each exploration hole, other drilled hole or borehole, <br />wells, or other exposed underground opening including but not ~ <br />limited to shaft, drift, adit, tunnel, or entryway shall be cap- <br />ped, sealed, backfilled, or otherwise properly managed, as re- <br />quired by the Division and consistent with 30 CFR 75.1711.
