RESPONSE <br />• <br />Each exploration hole, other drill or borehole, well, or other <br />exposed underground opening except those used coley for surface <br />blasting will be plugged, sealed, or otherwise managed, as ap- <br />proved by the Division to prevent acid or other toxic drainage <br />from entering ground or surface hydrologic balance, and ensure <br />the safety of people, livestock, fish and wildlife, and mach- <br />inery in the permit and adjacent areas. <br />EXCERPTS FROM THE LAW <br />(2) Each exploration hole, other drill or borehole, well, or un- <br />derground, opening that is uncovered or exposed during mining <br /> <br />operations within the permit area shall be permanently <br />closed in accordance with 4.07.3, unless approved for water <br />monitoring in accordance _:i~,th-4.05.13, or otherwise managed <br />in a manner approved by the ~i•vision. <br />RESPONSE <br />Each exploration hole, other drill or borehole, well, or other <br />underground opening that is uncovered or exposed during mining <br />operations within the permit area will be permanently closed in <br />accordance with 4.07.3, unless approved for water monitoring in <br />accordance with 4.05.13, or otherwise managed in a manner ap- <br />proved by the Division. <br />• <br />
