For instance, have all drill holes outside the <br />disturbed area been properly plugged? Will any new holes be drilled in the <br />future, and how do you plan to seal them, etc.? Please expand your re- <br />sponse to answer these issues. <br />EXCERPTS FROM THE LAW <br />SEALING OF DRILLED HOLES AND UNDERGROUND OPENINGS <br />4.07.1 General Requirements <br />(1) Each exploration hole, other drill or borehole, well, <br />or other exposed underground opening except those <br />used solely for surface blasting shall be plugged, <br />sealed, or otherwise managed, as approved by the <br />Division to: = ~ <br />(a) Prevent acid or other toxic drainage from enter- <br />ing ground or ;surface waters; <br />(b) Minimize disturbance to the prevailing hydra <br />logic balance; and <br />(c) Ensure the safety of people, livestock, fish and <br />wildlife, and machinery in the permit and adja- <br />cent areas. <br /> <br />~L <br />
