until the matter can be fully investigated and an applicable
compromise achieved.
Item 11. If refuse or acid-forming or toxic producing
materials are exposed during mining, excavation will be
stopped and the materials investigated. With guidance from
state and local officials, the materials will be transported
to an approved area for disposal.
Item 1~. Excavation will take place above the water table
and away from the active river channel. The side boundary to
the west of the permitted area will be rip-rapped on the 3:1
slope to prevent erosion and to allow for channel control
during times when the river flows into this area. The side
boundary to the east will be sloped at 3; 1. The south boundary
of the proposed disturbed area is 300 ft north of the south
property line which will allow sufficient space far the river
to establish its natural gradient without impacting the
adjoining property owners.
Item 1~. There will be only excavation of sand and gravel
on the site with n^ processing, crushing or screening on the
property. The material will be used for road base and/or fill.
If crushinq of the material is required for a specific project,
it will be done at that location with proper permitting and
controls at that site.
F'age 14
