205 <br />• site: 5MF343 (Fig. 5). <br />Site Type: Open llthic. _ <br />Location: NE ;SE ;, Sec. 1, T5n, R92w; UTM Zone 13, E274,050m., N4,476,660m. <br />Description: 5MF343 is located on the west side of a high saddle between the <br />' Yampa and Williams Fork Rivers at an elevation of 6590 ft. (2,009 m.). The <br />nearest water is the Yampa River 500 m. downslope to the west. Vegetation <br />on the site includes sagebrush, rabbitbrush, bitterbrush, and grasses. <br />~ The site consists of a scatter of flakes and a few tools in a small wash, <br />covering an area 40 by 60 m. No visible features or obvious concentrations of <br />lithic materials were observed. Other than natural erosion, the site appears <br />to be undisturbed, except for several jeep trails which pass by to the east <br />of the site. <br />,• Diagnostic artifacts: Graver, Type Ii. <br />~l. <br />evaluacion: 5MF343 lacks potential for yielding information important to pre- <br />history and should not be considered for nomination to the NRHP.
