-~-^ _.

~~
Clayton Construction Company
Permit Application
EyIIIBIT D - MINING PLAN
Mining shall be conducted in the following manner:
Overburden shall be removed with track type
dozers.
Gravel material shall be pushed from position
with track type dozers and then shall be loaded
with rubber tired loaders either onto a conveyor
belt or directly into trucks.
This operation requires no water diversion.
The size of area to be worked at any one time is
estimated to be less than two acres, classified
as moderate disturbance.
Except for some preliminary site preparation work,
sand and gravel operation began in 2974 under
OPEN PIT MINING PERMIT ~~ 37 issued by State of
Colorado, Department of Natural Recourses, Land
Reclamation Board. The size of our operation is
minimal and difficult to estimate. Less than
100,000 cubic yards of material has been removed
from site since beginning of operation, disturbing
less than 3/10th of one acre per year. Due to slope
of ground, gravel face is increasing and affected
area is decreasing, We expect to continue this
operation at aproximately the same rate or as demand
for material requires. The last phase of this
operation, reclamation and rehabilitation of site
caill be carried out concurrently with excavation phase
and is decribed in Schedule E, Plan of Reclamation.
