This map depicts
roads used for coal haulage, coal storage areas, topsoil storage areas, sediment ponds and
locations of coal Loading equipment and buildings.
Description of Potential Pollutant Sources/Material Inventory
Materials are not stored on site that could constitute a potential spill risk. Small
quantities (under 55 gallons) of normal maintenance and cleaning fluids could be stored on
site within existing buildings and therefore would not be in contact with stormwater.
Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (HGT1) took possession of permit No. COG-850008 by way of
transfer of ownership on November b, 7992. Prior to this transition the coal loading
facility had been inoperative for a number of years. HCTI had an environmental assessment
conducted on the property prior to the transfer. This assessment did not discover any
major spills that might have occurred on the property. IC is therefore highly unlikely
that any spills have occurred within the three years prior to permit certification.
stormwater Quality Controls
The following information addresses the stormwater quality controls.
SYMP Administrator
The following personnel are responsible for plan development, compliance and inspections.
Plan Development:
Tom Nainwrigh t, P.E.,
Senior Engineer
Plan Implementation: Dennis Jones,
Hydrologist I
Chuck McCUlloh,
Mine Engineering Supervisor
Risk Identification and Assessment
Coal stockpiles, either raw or crushed product, drain to NPDES discharge points.
