1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Hayden Gulch Loadout Facility <br />S[ormwater Management Plan <br />Overview of OoeretioneL Activities <br />The Hayden Culch Loadout Facility is used strictly for coal storage, crushing and loading <br />of trucks and trains. There is no mining of coal being conducted within the permit <br />boundary. The permit area contains 176.3 acres. The areas are broken down as follows end <br />as shown on Exhibit "SYNP-1", Vegetation Map. <br />1 <br /> Vegetation Tvpe Area (ac J <br />IPS - Improved Pasture 4.7 <br />C - Cropland 1.6 <br />ASC - Alkali Sagebrush/Greasewood 25.1 <br />AS - Alkali Sagebrush 1.2 <br />SB - Big Sagebrush 3.6 <br />RSS - Rabbitbrush/Silver Sagebrush 6.4 <br />AN - Alkaline Neadow 5.4 <br />G - Grassland 0.8 <br />DC - Revegetated Cropland Disturbances 30.4 <br />DNG - Revegetated Hayden Gulch Disturbances 70.8 <br />FHG - Hayden Gulch Loadout Facilities 17.8 <br />TS - Topsoil Stockpiles 6.1 <br />P S, RD - Ponds, and County, and Federal Roads 2.4 <br /> 176.3 <br />' The 17.8 acre area disturbed by the loadout facilities (excluding rail spur and Line) is <br />shown in greater detail on Exhibit "SUMP-2", Surface Yater Control Plan. Stormwater <br />' runoff from this area is diverted to two sedimentation ponds covered by NPDES Permit No. <br />CO-G-85008, Outfall 001 and 002 (Pond 1 and Pond 2). If Pond 1 were to discharge, Stokes <br />Gulch would be the receiving water. Pond 2 would discharge into Dry Creek. <br />The northern portion of the permit area (rail spur) crosses U.S. Highway 40, which is near <br />' the eastern Limits of the town of Hayden, Colorado.
