Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan continued
VI Shrubs and Trees; No shrubs or trees are to be planted.
D. Items to Remain Post Reclamation; The pre-existing access road will remain per the
wishes of the land owner. No other items are to remain post reclamation.
E. Reclamation of Mine Features; Upon reclamation the mine site will be a flat to gently
sloping pit floor that will daylight at the mesas west edge. The east side will accommodate a
3H:1 V slope back up to the original undisturbed pre-mining elevation. There are no other features
descriptive of the pit site.
F. Reclamation Cost Estimate; The worst case condition (ie. Maximum disturbance with
no reclamation) is assumed for calculating the estimated financial warranty for this site. The total
permit area is 9.7 +/- acres. Of this, approximately 9.7 acres will be disturbed and require
reclamation. The reclamation tasks to be performed are described throughout this Exhibit D.
13nckfriting; No backfilling should be necessary as the pit will daylight to the edge of the
mesa and under worst case conditions only regrading should be required.
Crnrting; Final grade pit cut slopes to 3H: I V. Assume a average slope lensnh of 40ft by
1000 Ift. Total of 8,898 cy to be moved (avg 8.89 cy/Ift) using D-9 dozer (avg push
distance about 45 ft). Est. Performance using straight blade of 700 cy/hr. (Cat.
performance handbook; includes correction factors). Approx.12.7 hr. say 13 hr. at
140$/hr ............................................................................................................. $1,820
Miscellaneous minor smooth grading on remainder of floor and perimeter of affected area
includes runoff control ditching and berms as may be necessary. Est. 8 hr. required using
D-9 dozer at 140 $/hr ......................................................................................... $1,120
Topsoi/Application; Replace avg. 6 in topsoil on 9.7 ac. (7,825 cy) using a 637 scraper
and a D-9 dozer at approx. 69.7% of effort for scraper (used for hauls longer than about
200 ft (avg. one way of about 400 ft); and 30.3% of effort for dozer (used on side slopes
and push distances <200 ft. (Avg. 100 ft)). Est. Performance for scraper of 350 CY/hr
(cat performance handbook; includes correction factors). Approx 15.6 hr say 16 hr. at
250$/hr. Est performance for D-9 dozer with straight blade of 550 CY/hr (cat
performance handbook; includes correction factors). Approx 4.3 hr. say 5 hr. required at
140 $/hr. Total combined dozer and scraper cost .............................................. $4,700
