Topsoil that is stockpiled above the quarry area will be hauled, <br />spread and bladed over the affected areas adjacent to the quarry and <br />through out the entire old stockpile and production areas. <br />4. A minimum of 12" of the topsoil will be placed over the affected <br />area. The soil will be compacted to a minimum of 90% of its relative <br />denisity. <br />5. The slope into South Saint Vrain Creek is presently riprapped <br />and will be left in that configuration to preclude bank cutting from <br />high water and erosion. <br />6. The following seed mix design will be drilled into the topsoil <br />area: <br />• Species Variety Lbs./Acre <br />Sideoats grams Vaughn 3.0 <br />Little Bluestem Pastura 2.0 <br />Elue grams Covington 1.0 <br />Western wheatgrass Arriba 4.0 <br />The seed mix will be drilled with a grassland drill that has depth bands, <br />seedbox agitation and packer wheels. <br />7. The topsoil will be mulched the winter preceding the planting. <br />90 1bs, of nitrogen and 50 lbs of P205 per acre will be applied after <br />the seeding. Immediately following the fertilizing the area will be <br />mulched with long stem prairie hay {4,000 lbs/AC) and crimped with a <br />weighted disc. <br />8. Irrigation water from the ditch and pond which bisects the <br />upper area of the revegetated land will be available for the newly <br />• seeded graze land. At least 2 growing seasons are anticipated before <br />this area will be capable of cattle grazing. <br />
