• Railroad as it now exists. In the opinion of the applicant, this will be a
great asset in future sales and shipment of materials.
Plant Operation
Crushers and batch mixing plants will be located in areas most suitable for
shortest distance of haul from the area of extraction of materials; and away
from neighboring homes where noise, dust and odors will he less offensive.
Also, a burm will be constructed around crusher and mixing plants where nec-
essary to insure against polution due to fuel spills.
The location and operation of the crushers, mixers, stockpiles and equipment
operation will meet or exceed Colorado State noise level requirements. Crushers,
concrete mix planes and asphalt plants will be required to meet or exceed the
requirements of state and federal re~~u]aLions ns reLatrd to air ~~unl itv and ~•missinns.
•
Roads and Traffic
Haul roads will be located where most economical for the moving of materials.
Haul roads entering onto county roads will intersect only at locations of
safe sight distance of no less than one-fourth mile for the benefit of on
coming traffic and only where absolutely necessary.
Due to the location of subject land and the intended use of at least four
haul roads, the hauling of materials from subject property should not create
heavy traffic problems. It is expected that materials will be hauled NE,
SE, SW and NW from the plant site. It is expected that there would be less
materials hauled NW due to the location of several gravel pits being operated
in [hat direction.
• D-3
