In the opinion of the applicant, this will be a <br />great asset in future sales and shipment of materials. <br />Plant Operation <br />Crushers and batch mixing plants will be located in areas most suitable for <br />shortest distance of haul from the area of extraction of materials; and away <br />from neighboring homes where noise, dust and odors will he less offensive. <br />Also, a burm will be constructed around crusher and mixing plants where nec- <br />essary to insure against polution due to fuel spills. <br />The location and operation of the crushers, mixers, stockpiles and equipment <br />operation will meet or exceed Colorado State noise level requirements. Crushers, <br />concrete mix planes and asphalt plants will be required to meet or exceed the <br />requirements of state and federal re~~u]aLions ns reLatrd to air ~~unl itv and ~•missinns. <br />• <br />Roads and Traffic <br />Haul roads will be located where most economical for the moving of materials. <br />Haul roads entering onto county roads will intersect only at locations of <br />safe sight distance of no less than one-fourth mile for the benefit of on <br />coming traffic and only where absolutely necessary. <br />Due to the location of subject land and the intended use of at least four <br />haul roads, the hauling of materials from subject property should not create <br />heavy traffic problems. It is expected that materials will be hauled NE, <br />SE, SW and NW from the plant site. It is expected that there would be less <br />materials hauled NW due to the location of several gravel pits being operated <br />in [hat direction. <br />• D-3 <br />
