<br />• MINING PLAN <br /> <br />Mining Method <br />This area of the Three 8e 11 Ranch would be mined by the open mining method, <br />using a dragline and such other equipment as may be required. <br />It is proposed [hat the land be mined in Six (6) area-phase, covering a <br />period of at least 15 years, depending upur. the demand Cor gravel. <br />Phase I would include pits A and R, cov~~riny~, S4. 7U n~~ror;. I'I~atir I I would <br />involve pits C, D and E with an area of 27.11 n~.rv~.ti. Pha.ti~~ II1 would be pits <br />F, C and H covering 26.26 acres. Phase IV would be pits f anal .i with an <br />area of 26.37 acres. Phase V would be pit K covering 25.16 acres. Phase <br />VI would be pit L with an area of 31.18 acres. A total of 170.78 acres are <br />proposed for mining, comprising 47.43% of the subject area. <br /> <br />The first procedure would be to establish an office, scales and processing <br />plant. Next the overburden would be removed, separating the topsoil from the <br />clay; clay and dirt not required for blending with the road gravel would be <br />stored for use in [he reclamation plan. <br />Mining will occur in the areas as set forth in this document and recorded on <br />the index map listed as exhibit "B" attached hereto and par[ of this appli- <br />cation for the mining of sand and gravel. The exact procedure for removing <br />of topsoil, sand and gravel materials, stockpiling of materials, de-watering <br />and all phases of the operation may vary some from pit [o pit due to [he <br />quanity of materials and economics of mining. <br />• D-1 <br />
