It appears that the issue at questions is the location of the 100 year
flood plain, and is the Virginia Acres Gravel Pit Operation in or out of
the 100 year flood plain?
In our determination that this project is not in the 100 year flood plain,
we utilized information from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the
Mesa County Engineering Department, specifically from the Flood plain
Administrator.
Map No. 1 is from a study done by the Corps of Engineers in 1976 for the
era mergency Management Agency (FEMA).
This study is the official Floodplain Delineation study as recognized by
FEMA.
This study was used by the National Flood Insurance Program to determine
flood insurance rates.
MaP No• 2 is a copy of the map for the National Flood Insurance Program as
revised December 4, 1985.
United Companies o/ Mesa County, Inc.
