(con't) Our operations are scheduled at seasons with optimum
ground moisture, as there is no water available to control dust
and our operations consist of crushing and screening road material
only. There is no gravel washing or other uses of water so it is
unnecessary.
Again I state that all reclamaticn of any of our areas, which
constitute much more than gravel pits, are in close con~unctian
with the Division of Wildlife, Soil Conservation, Forest Service
and Bureau of Land Management; and procedures fallow their wishes
and recommendations.
I hope this will clarify all your questions nn this matter. If
further information is needed, don!t hesitate to call me or maybe
you ar one of your agents could come and make an-site reviews.
Res~tfpu'll~y,~~
,~~"C,G~"~"'`'
Paul Sale
Road Supervisor
San Miguel County
PS/fib
Road 8 Bridge Department
This is to verify that in regard all gravel pit operations through-
out San Miguel County, all reclamation work shall he performed in
accordance with terms of Mined Land Reclamation Permit and Section
34-32=116 of `Mimed/Land Reclamation Act.
Fred Ellerd, Chairmen
Board of County Commissioners
