•~
Paga 2
5. All new access roads will be treated and reclaimed in the
same manner es the pit areas.
6. B 7. With the exception of pit #3, all pits shall 6e excava-
ted from the access road inward and removal shall he only outward
over access road. Excavation of all pits other than pit #5 and
#13 will average about 5 feet in depth, with ell banks and berms
contoured sx~ as gentle slope as possihle and conform with surround-
ing terrain end facilitate maximum reseeding possibilities. Again,
this is under 'urisdiction of the S.C.S.
B. In pit #13, San Miguel County has leased a tract of land
comprising about 30 ecres,.more'_or less, with the intention of
opening a pit on another portion of it some time in the future,
but et the present time the actual mining is contalned.in an area
of less than 3 acres. The material is then hauled across a river
bridge to the site of crushing and stockpiling. The mining area
is a strictly rock and gravel hillside end is .mined from a steep
bank containing no appreciable ground cover. There is no mining
from the river and there is no water involved as the material is
carried over the river to processing.
The stockpile area consists of river bottom and is all sand end
gravel which we have a 404 reclamation permit for as stated in
original application. Total area for mining and stockpiling is
approximately 9 acres. The boundaries shown on the 404 map is
the boundaries for that portion of the lease. When mining is
completed in the portion of lease, property owner has stated he
intends to proceed with either a commercial or residential develop-
ment.
Exhibit C
2. These are not engineered or surveyed drawings. I have tried
to show the drawings relatively close to actual size. However,
if this is not sufficient then we will have to employ a licensed
engineer to prepare them. Please let me know if this is true.
Exhibit D
1. A Soil Conservation Service analysis is unavailable at this
time as they are in their annual budget process, however they
assured me they would get it to us es soon as possihle, then I
can forward it to you. Received and attached.
2. We are getting the Division of Wildlife evaluation at this
time, hopefully in time to include with this report. There is
no wildlife concerns other than fish habitat in pit #13, which is
addressed in the 404 permit. Received and attached.
3. Aside from pits #3, 5 S 13, there are no streams or water-
ways adjacent to, or near any of the sites. These have been
explained in prior paragraphs.
