• pits and backfilled over when the site is reclaimed. Auxiliary equipment will consist of water truck, pipe
[ruck, logging truck and pickup trucks.
Development drill hole 91001 will be located adjacent to an existing road. Therefore, except for access off
of the existing road no new road work will be required.
Por most of the development holes road construction will not occur, unless the ground if sufticiendy soft
to cause significant rutting. Otherwise, the vehicles will travel into the site over [he existing ground. It
has been TCC's experience [hat this minimizes damage to the topsoil and aids in the reclamation of the
site. In the event [hat topsoil must be salvaged due to soft ground conditions the soil will be bladed to the
side of the road. Approximately 18-24 inches of topsoil is available for salvage from the access corridor
servicing most development drill holes. Upon completion of [he project [he topsoil will be redistributed
over the site and seeded with the following seed mixture:
Species PLS lbs./acre
intermediate wheatgrass I
slender wheatgrass 55
pubescent wheatgrass 9
regar meadow brome .8
lincoln smooth brome 65
orchardgrass 2
timothy I
cicer milkvetch 98
• birdsfoot trefoil, 32 PLS r y, ~u ~r ~ ~
~. ~
At each of the locations a pad approximately 100 x 100 fee[ may be constructed by stripping the available
topsoil and windrowing i[ adjacent to the pad. The topography a[ most drill sites is relatively flat,
therefore little or minor pad leveling will be required. Drainage from the pads will be controlled by means
of berms, rock filters, silt fences, established vegetation, or a combination thereof in conformance with
Rule 4.21. Two mud pits and a trash pit will be excavated at each of the sites. The material excavated
from the pits will be stored on the pad. Upon completion of the drilling project the mud pits will be
backfilled with the excavated material, the site will then be regraded and topsoiled, and seeded with the
above seed mixture.
Each of the development drilling holes will be cemented from bottom to top utilizing a tremie pipe of drill
steel. The cementing of the hole will be done in accordance with MLRD regulations. Upon completion of
cementing an Abandonment Report will be completed and submitted to [he MLRD in accordance with the
regulations.
In reference to the monitoring well, TCC plans to use an existing exploration hole +vhich was kept open for
future monitoring use. The hole will be reworked and a 2" well will be installed. As is typical with TCC's
construction method the screened section of the well will have alternating sections of screen and steel pipe.
The screened interval will then be gravel packed and a bentoni[e seal placed on top of the gravel pack.
When [he well is no longer needed it will be grouted from bottom to [op utilizing a tremie pipe. A
completion diagram for the well will be forwarded to [he MLRD upon completion of the construction of
the well. Due to formation problems this +vell (91 M005) will be completed in the T++en[ymile Sandstone
• as opposed [o the Wadge Overburden.
Twentymile plans to install a new monitoring ++•ell (91M006) into the Wadge Overburden. This will
replace the well described immediately above. A nominal 7 5/8" hole may be extended down into the
MR 97-I i4 2.05-L' I Revised 9/9/97
