Resource Pit, <br />MLRD Permit No. M92069 <br />Dear Mr. Simpson: <br />We acex.pt the conditions presented in your approval letter dated ]anuary 24, 1994. <br />Bestwa~ Paving intends to begin mining the 83rd ].V. Resource Pit this spring. Therefore, at this time we <br />are requesting that you reverse the denial of the well permit which was previously submitted with Receipt <br />No. 343284, File No. AD-12872. <br />Bestway Paving conducted a field survey of water wells adjacent to the subject site using the tabulation of <br />the wells recorded by the State Engineer's Office. Two wells were found to be within 600 feet of the <br />proposed gravel pit. Attached with this letter are copies of statements from the wells owners waiving <br />objection to the issuance of a well permit for the subject grave] pit. <br />On behalf of Bestway Paving we request a variance from standard procedures to install pumping equipment <br />in the subject gravel pit for obtaining groundwater for washing sand and gravel and for dust control on the <br />site.
