Resource Pit Substitute Water Supply Plan for 1994, DMG M92069
NE 1/4 SW 1/4, Section 35, T6N, R66W, 6TH P.M.
Water Division 1, Water District 3
Dear Mr. Jones:
We have reviewed your request for en extension to the existing substitute water supply plan for I.V.
Resource pit. As stated in your letter, no mining has been done to date, and therefore, no interception of
groundwater nor water consumption has occurred to date. A well permit has not been applied for, but will be
prior to commencement of mining.
As stated in your letter, all of the water use projections remain unchanged, the source of replacement
water, and other aspects of the original plan are the same. Replacements to the stream for depletions
resulting from evaporation and product loss will be from 'urigation consumptive use credits from the Boyd
and Freeman Ditch. However, It should be noted that you have yet to address the winter time depletions
associated with the gravel pit.
I hereby approve an extension to the current substitute water supply plan in accordance with Section
37-80-120, C.R.S., (1991) subject to the following conditions:
All of the conditions listed in our November 19, 1992 approval letter shall remain in effect except as
modified below. A copy of that letter is attached for your reference.
2. This plan shall be effeMive through December 31, 1994 unless modified or revoked. Should a winter
replacement source not be obtained by this date, this plan shall not be extended.
Please contact Jim Hall, Assistant Division 1 Engineer at 303-352-8712 or Bill McIntyre of this office
should you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
~~'~ ' J' r'~"
Hal D.
