EXHIBIT A -Legal Description <br />Approximately 9.9 acres in the NE '/. of Section 33 and the NW '/. of Section 34, <br />T4S, R49W of the 6th P.M., Washington posts will be set to mark the pit areas as shown <br />on the map. County, Colorado. There will actually be two small excavations similar in <br />size lying on opposite sides of the Arikaree flow azea. The total area will not exceed 9.9 <br />acres. Delineator <br />EXHIBIT B -Site Description <br />a) Ve eg tation- <br />There are currently native grasses in the azea proposed for the gravel pit. <br />Since the area is sometimes flooded, vegetation is periodically removed <br />by flood waters. <br />Soil Information - <br />The Soil Conservation Service soil maps show the soil as being primarily <br />of the Bankard sandy loam, a soil found on alluvial valley floors. <br />Permeability of this soil is rapid. Bankard soils aze a good source of road <br />fill. <br />b) Permanent man-made structures <br />There are no permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected <br />area. <br />c) Water resources <br />The excavation will occur within the Arikaree River basin. The Arikazee <br />River is normally dry, running only in times of high rainfall or flooding. The <br />water table is usually about 15 feet below the ground surface. <br />d) Wildlife <br />No significant amount of wildlife has been encountered during any of the <br />visits to the site. Normal species appearing at the site could be coyotes, <br />rabbits, skunks, badgers, and pheasants. There are no known threatened or <br />endangered species. <br />
