Embankment shape is polygonal (nearly rectangular except for
the input section) and covers 4220 sgft or 0.097 acres.
C. The excavation is 4.0 feet (measured) plus 1.5 feet
(estimated water depth) deep = 5.5 ft
D. The dewatering device is a 2.0 foot pipe, 30.3 feet in length
with a perforated riser topped with a screen mesh.
E. There is no freeboard.
The ESASP is located on the south side of a hill that slopes approximately
27 degrees to the south. The south and west embankment areas vary from
14.5 to 17 feet in width and support a substantial canopy of vegetation.
There is no evidence of slope failure on the downhill side of these
• embankments nor are there any indications that water has overflowed from
the impoundment other than through the dewatering device. Outflow from
the drainage pipe falls on coarse rock rip-rap on the downslope side of
the west embankment. The coarse rock, rip-rapped drainage ditch that
carries runoff from the sediment trap to the ESASP appears to be
• functioning properly.
CMLRB Permit No. C-81-029 design specifications require a 24 inch pipe
capable of discharging the 100 year, 24 hour storm peak flow of 12.7 cfs.
And the 24 inch I.D, pipe is installed as per specifications.
• Two installations at ESASP that are not specified in CMLRB Permit No. C-
81-029 are: 1) a 2.5 foot perforated, mesh capped riser welded onto the
