Post-Reclamation Site Drainage
After the site has been seeded for final reclamation, the sediment collection sumps will be
maintained in place to collect al{ runoff from the reclaimed areas. It is seen from Map Exhibit F
that the mining will lower the areas on both sides of the unnamed drainage so that no disturbed area
will drain off the site.
Once the vegetation is adequate and final bond release is achieved, two ditches will be cut at the
low point on both sides of the unnamed drainage so that these areas will drain for the post-mining
use of grazing. These ditches are to be designed as permanent channels for the 100 year - 24 hour
event. The ditch locations are shown on the reclamation map of Exhibit F. The designs for the
ditches are presented on the following pages:
•

Carol Ann Permit CDMG Application c 5
