Minor Revision ~Vo. 270 Page 2
March 1-!, 2000
r1
U
L Not Cased 1301
P 4 1274
Q 5 1270
R S 1310
S Not Cased 1305
T 5* 1300*
V ~ 1272
W 5 1310
X 5 134
Y 5* 1300*
Z 5 1273
AA 5 1293
*Projected
All holes were drilled at 7 7/3-inch diameter. As of today, Hole T and Y are currently being
drilled. Additional holes may be necessary.
All holes have been drilled on US Forest Service property with the exception of holes Q, V and
Z, which were drilled on the Werner property. A drawing is enclosed that shows the location of
the drill holes in relation to the underground mine workings. MCC has utilized existing USFS
• roads to the extent possible, but has constructed roads off the main USFS road to access the drill
sites. The previously mentioned drawing also includes the locations of the roads. Also enclosec
is a drawing that shows the approximate location of the disturbance associated with the drilling
project. The road loctions and disturbance areas are approximate, as the locations have not yet
been surveyed. MCC will provide DIvIG with updated maps once the area and the roads have
been surveyed.
IvICC has stripped topsoil from the newly constructed roads and drill pad locations. Topsoil
stripped from roads has been windrowed to the side of the road. Topsoil stripped from the drill
pads has been stockpiled to the uphill side (when possible) of the pads. Drill pads have been
bermed to control runoff from the site.
MCC expects that some of the drill holes will need to be retained to continue monitoring, but at
this time is not sure which holes will be needed. MCC intends to perform interim reclamation
following the completion of drilling and sealing (to be discussed in the next section) activities,
and final reclamation, which will be completed as the weather conditions improve.
The primary goal of the interim reclamation will be to protect topsoil, control drainage, and
reduce sedimentation on drill roads and pads. The following tasks will be completed:
•Construct berm around topsoil pile
. •Ensure berms around drill pads aze intact to contain drainage on pad, or utilize alternate
sediment control measures to treat storm water runoff from pad
•Grade roads to reduce or eliminate mts
•Construct water bazs on roads to control drainage
