The 40 acre plant site to the north center of the mined area will be reclaimed to
agriculture use. The site has been included for revegetation for this reclamation plan.
All grading shall be conducted to create a final site topography commensurate with the
wildlife habitat and cropland. Among the practices to be observed are backfilling along
the shoreline to assure adequate compaction for stability and lake integrity. Grading will
be done in a manner to control erosion and siltation and to protect areas outside the
affected land from slides and other damage. There will be no highwalls left within the
site. Backfilling and grading will be completed as soon as possible during or after the
mining process for each phase of mining. The operator will make every reasonable "good
faith" effort to minimize overburden stockpiling and exposed, unreclaimed mine areas.
There are no known acid forming or toxic producing materials within the proposed mine
site. There are no addits or shafts planned with this operation. All drill and auger holes
utilized as part of the operation will be plugged with noncombustible material, which will
not be harmful or cause pollutant drainage.
• The maximum slopes and slope combinations used will be compatible with the reclaimed
cropland and lake system conditions. Specifically, this shall indicate a slope no steeper
in any case than the ratio of 2H:1 V. This slope shall be held from the bottom of
excavation to 10 feet below the anticipated lake water surface. From this point and up
the slope will be no steeper than 3H:1V. There is no swimming proposed in conjunction
with the majority of the reclamation plan for this site except possilby for the local/wunty
park.
There will be approximately 515 acres of agricultural crop cuRivation in conjunction with
the reclamation plan for this site. (See Exhibit F)
Water
Disturbances to the hydrologic balance of the affected land and adjacent lands shall be
minimized by the following measures:
1. Compliance with applicable Colorado Water Laws and regulations governing
injury to existing water rights;
2. Compliance with applicable Federal and Colorado Water Quality laws and
regulations;
3. Compliance with applicable Federal and Colorado dredge and fill
- requirements;
4. Removing temporary or large siltation structures from drain ways after
disturbed areas are revegetated and stabilized,rf required by the
reclamation plan.
E-2
