Berhanmaskel Keffelew
Division of Minerals & Geology
Page 2
II) Exhibit "E" Reclamation Plan 6.4.5
A) The operator proposed to backsloped arroyo banks a[ 2H:1 V. Areas outside the arroyo
will be backsloped at 3H:1 V to match the existing topography. This is a change in our
original plan due to further studies.
B) Temporary or lazge siltation structures:
There will be no temporary or lazge siltation ponds. As explained earlier, the settling pond
collects the discharge water from the sand washing plant which helps recharge the aquifer.
After arroyo flooding the sand washed into the excavated area is mined which leaves the
settling pond as in the past.
C) Earlier in this response the salvaging and protection of topsoil was dealt with.
See A) Exhibit "D" b.4.4
III) Exhibit "L" Reclamation Cost 6.4.12
A) The applicant proposed to backslope the arroyo walls at 2H:1V. Any other backs]opes
will be finished at 3H:1V.
We are including our Exhibit "L" with this correspondence. In the amount of $82,212.68
Cordial
~r
oe Gaglian" o
Consultant & Agent
cc: Vezzani
